Notes: The up to 2.5 inch (6 cm) wide flowers have 5 petals with dark orange bases and veins. The leaves are opposite and pinnately compound with paired, oval leaflets. The stems are hairy. This common flower blooms in the summer and can be found growing along roadsides and in sandy washes.
