Notes: The up to 1 inch (2.54 cm) wide flowers have 5, notch-tipped petals with dark red-orange bases. The green, fleshy, succulent leaves are cylindrical and taper to a point at the tips. The succulent stems are stiffly erect and do not trail on the ground. The flowers open in the morning and close by midday.
