Notes: The shiny, green fronds are shaped like 5-pointed stars and are up to 4 inches (10 cm) across. These native, desert ferns are drought tolerant and become dry, brown, and curled with lack of rain. They can be found growing on rocky hillsides, often in the shade of large rocks with other ferns.
