wrightii Common Name: Arizona Sycamore Flower Color: Green Plant Type: Tree, Perennial, Deciduous Height: To 80 feet (24.4 m) tall Date Observed: April 26, 2005 & April 9, 2005 Notes: This monoecious tree has green, ball-like flowerheads in clusters of 2 to 4. The spherical, brown seed heads are on up to 8 inch (20.3 cm) long stalks. The leaves are palmately-lobed into 5, 3, or 7-pointed lobes. The bark is white with brown-gray patches. It grows along streams and in canyons. |
