trilobata Common Name: Skunkbush Sumac Flower Color: Yellow Plant Type: Shrub, Perennial, Deciduous Height: To 8.2 feet (2.5 m) tall Date Observed: June 11, 2005 & March 5, 2005 Notes: The tiny flowers are clustered at the branch tips and appear before the leaves. The scarlet berries are sticky and hairy. The compound, green leaves are divided into 3 lobed and toothed leaflets. It is similar to Toxicodendron spp., but the leaves are not dangerous to touch, although they do have an bad odor. |
