Notes: The numerous, tiny flowers bloom in the spring and are followed by clusters of small, dark purple grapes. The dark green leaves are heart-shaped with coarsely toothed margins. These rambling, woody vines grow in canyons or riparian areas. The grapes are edible and popular with birds.
