Name: Agave palmeri Common Name: Palmer's Century Plant, Palmer's Agave Flower Color: Light green, pale yellow, pinkish, cream Plant Type: Subshrub, Shrub, Herb, Perennial Height: Leaves to 3 1/2 feet (1.1 m) tall Date Observed: August 11, 2007 Notes: The often pink-tinged flowers are clustered atop up to 20 foot (6.1 m) tall flower stalks. The leaves are spine-tipped, lanceolate, edged with sharp, downward curving teeth, bluish to greenish gray in color, and in usually solitary, non-suckering basal rosettes. |
