incarnata Common Name: Trailing Windmills Flower Color: Bright pink to magenta Plant Type: Herb, Annual, Perennial Height: Trailing up to 5 feet (1.5 m) long Date Observed: September 24, 2005 & August 6, 2005 Notes: Each up to 1 inch (2.54 cm) wide "flower" is actually a cluster of 3 flowers. The short-stemmed flowers emerge from the leaf axils and have scalloped petals. The green leaves are oval, hairy, and sticky (as are the stems). It blooms from April to October. |
