fendleri Common Name: Fendler's Globemallow Flower Color: Pink, orange, lavender Plant Type: Subshrub, Herb, Perennial Height: To 4 feet (1.2 m) tall Date Observed: September 3, 2005 Notes: The 1.5 inch (3.8 cm) wide flowers have 5, broad, notched petals, and they are held wide open, uncupped and almost flat. The leaves are green, hairy, uncrinkled, variably scalloped, often cleft into 3 lobes, and elongated to about 1/2 as wide as long. This native wildflower grows in upland areas. |
