Name: Gaillardia × grandiflora 'Fanfare' Common Name: Gaillardia Fanfare, 'Fanfare' Blanket Flower Flower Color: Red rays with orange to yellow tips Plant Type: Herb, Perennial (Annual here) Height: To 14 inches (36 cm) tall Date Observed: April 22, 2004 Notes: This introduced cultivar is a cross between G. aristata and G. pulchella and has become naturalized here. The 2 inch (5 cm) wide flower heads have red disks and unusual, tubular, red rays with orange to yellow tips. The leaves are alternate and lanceolate. |
