ternifolia (I. leptotoma) Common Name: Tripleleaf Morning-glory, Bird's Foot Morning Glory Flower Color: Purple, pink, rarely white Plant Type: Herb, Annual Height: Trailing to 3 feet (91 cm) long Date Observed: August 24, 2002 Notes: The 2 inch (5 cm) wide, funnel-shaped flowers have a cream to white mouth and are on a short stalk. The leaves are palmately divided into 3 to 5 main linear lobes. This native wildflower blooms in the summer and fall and grows in sandy washes and grassy areas. |
