distans Common Name: Distant Phacelia, Wild Heliotrope, Blue Phacelia Flower Color: Violet-blue, purple, whitish Plant Type: Herb, Annual, Perennial Height: Up to 18 inches (46 cm) tall Date Observed: March 25, 2004 Notes: The tubular, 5-lobed flowers are 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) wide in hairy, terminal coils that usually carry dried flowers. The variable leaves are once or twice pinnately divided unlike the undivided, lobed leaves of P. crenulata. The stems are reddish and hairy. |
