barbatisepala Common Name: Canyon Morning-glory Flower Color: Blue, pinkish purple, white Plant Type: Vine, Herb, Annual Height: Twining to 5 feet (1.5 m) tall Date Observed: October 4, 2003 Notes: The 1 inch (2.5 cm) long, tubular flowers have a white to yellow throat and are cupped by long, linear sepals with stiff, straight hairs. The leaves have 5 to 7 palmate lobes. The stems and leaves are hairless unlike I. hederacea. This native vine blooms in the morning in canyons during the late summer and fall. |
