Name: Ipomoea hederacea Common Name: Ivyleaf Morning-glory, Woolly Morning-glory Flower Color: Blue, purple, magenta, white Plant Type: Vine, Herb, Annual Height: To 8 feet (2.4 m) tall Date Observed: August 26, 2006 & August 22, 2004 Notes: The 2 inch (5 cm) wide, funnel-shaped flowers open only in the morning and have 5 hairy sepals. The leaves are usually 3-lobed, but are also often 5-lobed or heart-shaped. The leaves and stems are hairy unlike I. barbatisepala. It is an introduced, riparian weed. |
