resupinata Common Name: Arizona Foldwing Flower Color: Pinkish violet Plant Type: Herb, Perennial Height: To 2 feet (61 cm) tall Date Observed: May 1, 2004 & September 27, 2003 Notes: The 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) long flowers have a purple-spotted white patch on the upper lip and a larger, solid-colored lower lip. There are heart-shaped, green bracts at the base of the flowers. The leaves are bright green and oval to lance-shaped. This native wildflower grows in shady canyons. |
