Notes: The 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide flowers have 2 blue side petals, a small, white lower petal, and are enclosed by a hairy, green, boat-shaped spathe (leaflike bract). The leaves are alternate and linear to lanceolate. The similar C. dianthifolia, Tradescantia occidentalis, and T. pinetorum have 3 blue petals.
