Notes: The 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) long, bell-shaped flowers have 5 rounded lobes and a white-ringed, yellow center. The green, densely hairy, plump-looking leaves have rolled-under margins and are deeply-veined unlike those of the similar N. demissum. This native wildflower mostly blooms in the spring in sandy areas.
