pringlei Common Name: Pringle's Prairie Clover Flower Color: Purple Plant Type: Subshrub, Herb, Perennial Height: To 2 feet (61 cm) tall Date Observed: March 13, 2004 Notes: The tiny flowers are in narrow, elongated, fuzzy, terminal flower spikes and have long, yellow-tipped stamens and hairy, brownish sepals. The leaves are green and pinnately compound with an odd number of tiny, oval leaflets. Similar Dalea species have larger, more elongated leaflets and/or fatter flower spikes. |
