Notes: The tubular, purple-lined flowers have a yellow throat, 2 pairs of stamens, and 5 rounded lobes (2 on the upper lip and 3 on the lower lip). The flowers are in whorls of 3 in the upper leaf axils. The toothed, lanceolate leaves are in whorls of 2 or 3 at the nodes. These hairy, glandular plants grow in wet soil.
