arizonicum Common Name: Arizona Bluecurls, Arizona Blue Curls Flower Color: Violet and white Plant Type: Subshrub, Perennial Height: To 2 feet (61 cm) tall Date Observed: August 20, 2005 Notes: The flowers are in loose, axillary clusters and have 5 lobes and 4 curving stamens up to 1 inch (2.54 cm) long. The lowest lobe is violet with ruffled edges. The small, green leaves are opposite and oblong to ovate. It blooms in upland areas from July to October. |
