Notes: The 1.5 inch (3.8 cm) wide, 5-petaled flowers often have pink marks near the base of the petals. The round seed capsules contain seeds with only a few cotton fibers. The green leaves have 3 or 5 point-tipped lobes. This native plant is related to cultivated cotton and blooms August to October.
