sonorae Common Name: Sonoran Globe Amaranth Flower Color: White, pink Plant Type: Herb, Annual, Perennial Height: To 2 feet (61 cm) tall Date Observed: September 3, 2005 Notes: The rounded flower heads are 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) wide and composed of overlapping, pointed bractlets surrounding each of the tiny flowers. The flower heads are found in clusters both at the stem nodes and tips. The leaves are opposite and elliptic, oblong, oblanceolate, or linear with pointed tips. |
