Notes: The tiny, 5-lobed flowers have 3, ciliate upper lobes and 2 curved lower lobes. The leaves are small, shiny, green, and elliptical to oblanceolate. The stems are stiff, zigzagged, thread-like, and usually reddish. These native, spring-blooming, desert wildflowers grow in sandy washes and are easy to overlook.
