Notes: The flowers have 4 petals, 4 sepals which are often red in color, and drooping flower buds. The flowers turn pink as they age and are followed by long, slender seed capsules. The leaves are green, alternate, and linear or narrowly lanceolate to oblanceolate. It grows in moist, shady canyon areas.
