cooperi Common Name: Whitestem Paperflower, Cooper's Paperflower Flower Color: Brilliant yellow, drying to cream Plant Type: Subshrub, Herb, Perennial Height: To 2 feet (61 cm) tall Date Observed: March 31, 2004 & April 5, 2004 Notes: The 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide flower heads have 3 to 6, three-toothed rays and dry to a papery cream color on the plant. The leaves are grayish green, linear, and opposite. The stems are fuzzy and whitish. This common, native plant has a long blooming season. |
