Notes: The 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide flower heads have 3 to 6, three-toothed rays and dry to a papery cream color on the plant. The leaves are grayish green, linear, and opposite. The stems are fuzzy and whitish. This common, native plant has a long blooming season.
