Notes: The 2 inch (5 cm) wide flower heads have blunt-toothed rays and are in branched clusters above the mound-shaped foliage. The leaves are alternate, woolly, grayish, and oval to triangle-shaped. These common, desert wildflowers usually bloom in the springtime on rocky hillsides.
