irio Common Name: London Rocket Flower Color: Yellow Plant Type: Herb, Annual Height: To 3 feet (91 cm) tall Date Observed: April 26, 2003 & March 21, 2004 Notes: The 1/4 inch (6 mm) wide flowers have 4 oblong petals and are surrounded by a ring of long, slender seedpods that flare outward and resemble exploding fireworks. The leaves are green, triangular, mainly basal, and pinnately lobed. This introduced weed blooms in the spring in moist areas. |
