laricifolia Common Name: Turpentine Bush Flower Color: Brilliant yellow disks and rays Plant Type: Subshrub, Shrub, Perennial Height: To 3 feet (91 cm) tall Date Observed: November 5, 2003 & October 31, 2004 Notes: The 3/8 inch (10 mm) wide flower heads are in terminal clusters with variable numbers of disk and ray flowers. It blooms from August to November. The 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) long, linear leaves densely cover the branches. The crushed leaves smell like turpentine. |
