Notes: The flowers are tiny and pea-like. The unusually plump, thickened, pinnate leaves often have leaflets with red-tinged edges. This native, low-growing plant forms mats on the ground in open, rocky areas. It is much plumper and less hairy than the similar Lotus humistratus.
