Pink Arizona Flowers

Listed here are some of the southeastern Arizona wildflowers with conspicuous pink or magenta flowers. Note: Some of the wildflowers listed below do not yet have images available in this color.
Many of our native pink wildflowers here in southeastern Arizona are either pink-flowered cacti or hummingbird flowers. Red is the favorite flower color of hummingbirds, but they are also attracted to pink flowers. Although large-scale displays of pink wildflowers are not typical here, pink-flowered Velvetpod Mimosa or Gatuno (Mimosa dysocarpa) can be seen coloring small hillsides and roadsides light pink during the summer.
