Chenopodiaceae – Goosefoot Family

Plants in the worldwide, but primarily desert-region Goosefoot Family (Chenopodiaceae) are hairy or glandular, annual and perennial herbs, shrubs, and small trees with simple, usually alternate leaves, 5-segmented flowers with no petals and 1 to 5 sepals, and fruit in the form of an utricle (a dry, bladder-like, one-seeded fruit).
