Plants in the temperate and tropical Geranium Family (Geraniaceae) are generally hairy, annual and perennial herbs with alternate, opposite, or basal, simple or compound, often lobed leaves, bisexual flowers with usually 5 petals, 5 sepals, and a superior ovary, and dry, 5-segmented fruit.
