Rubiaceae – Madder Family

Plants in the worldwide, but especially tropical Madder Family (Rubiaceae) are annual and perennial herbs, shrubs, trees, vines, and lianas with opposite or whorled, simple leaves, tubular or funnel-shaped flowers with usually 4 or 5 lobes and an inferior ovary, and fruit in the form of a capsule, berry, or a drupe.
