Ulmaceae – Elm Family

Plants in the temperate, subtropical, and tropical Elm Family (Ulmaceae) are perennial, deciduous shrubs and trees with alternate, opposite, or distichous (in two vertical rows on either side), simple leaves, inconspicuous flowers with 0 petals and a superior ovary, and fruit in the form of a nut, winged samara, or a fleshy berry.
