Verbenaceae – Verbena Family

Plants in the primarily American tropical Verbena Family (Verbenaceae) are generally hairy, annual and perennial herbs, shrubs, and trees with bisexual, tubular or funnel-shaped flowers with 4 or 5 lobes and a superior ovary, and fruit in the form of a nut (2 or 4 nutlets) or a fleshy drupe.
